Clos de Tart
An unusual Burgundy winery, Clos de
Tart is the name of the winery, the wine, and the vineyard. It is also the largest exclusive vineyard (Monopole) in Burgundy.
Regardless of the history, area of the winery, or vineyard planting, the average age of the trees in the garden is over 60 years old, and the oldest tree is over a hundred years old.
The winery makes wine according to the traditional method. The grapes will be destemmed and the remaining bunches will be fermented in the tank. Then they will be matured in 100% new oak barrels for 18 months. They will be bottled without clarification and filtration. After bottling, they will be placed in the wine. It was put on the market after one year in the cellar.
In recent years, the style of Clos de Tart red wine has been rich, mellow, elegant and noble, and can be tasted at a young age. The winery has very strict self-requirements, so it can only produce about 1,500 cases per year, which is quite rare and precious.
